Hardly Working?
More Like Hardly Sleeping
While the series satirizes corporate slacking and office absurdities, bringing this comedy to life required anything but a lazy effort. Editing Hardly Working meant diving into massive multi-camera timelines, sculpting the pacing of every joke, and balancing natural stage energy with sharp, comedic timing. From audio cleanup in a live venue to color grading and visual pacing, every single cut was designed to make sure the punchlines land as hard on screen as they did in the room.

[Role & Responsibility]
Post-Production Team Lead & Series Editor
A joke only works if the timing is flawless. Working closely with the team, I structure the build-up of narrative beats, timing the exact frame of the cut to ensure every punchline
landed with maximum comedic impact.
Shaping Comedy, Rhythm & Pacing
Standup is a two-way street between the comic and the crowd. I edit how audience laughter, reactions and performer moments were used throughout each episode. By carefully selecting and placing these moments, we amplified the energy of the room, strengthened emotional beats and ensured the atmosphere of a live performance.
Audience Reactions & Emotional Pacing
Live performances naturally include flubs, repeated takes, missed lines, technical interruptions and moments of dead air. I oversaw and contributed to refining these performances by identifying and removing NG moments while preserving the natural flow of the set. Every cut was carefully shaped to maintain continuity, comedic timing and audience energy ensuring the final performance felt seamless rather than visibly edited.
Seamless NG (Not Good) Removal
Live productions often come with visual limitations that need to be resolved in post. I executed a range of invisible VFX solutions, including extending and correcting stage backgrounds, removing unwanted visual elements and replacing or tracking show branding across moving camera shots. The goal was to ensure every fix remained invisible, maintaining visual continuity and a polished, consistent look across all camera angles.
Visual Polish & Invisible VFX
Oversaw the multi-camera editorial workflow and led a team of editors and interns in managing large volumes of footage. Coordinated the organization and synchronization of extensive multi-camera material, structuring workflows and maintaining consistency across timelines to enable efficient creative work across multiple camera angles while preserving the natural rhythm and energy of each performance.
Multi-Cam Workflow Management
I executed audio syncing and cleanup to balance the comedian's mic feed with ambient crowd laughter. To ensure a smooth delivery pipeline, I organized all VFX-repaired timelines for the external colorist for the final color grading and handed off the timelines and footages.
Pipeline & Post-Production Handoff
Managed the final export and delivery of the series for JioHotstar. I created all required master files according to the platform's technical specifications, ensuring the correct formats and delivery requirements were met. After final checks, I uploaded the completed masters to the designated delivery server for official platform delivery.
Final Mastering & JioHotstar Delivery
Before S02, there was S01.
From cheeky characters to quirky scenarios, renowned comics give a witty twist to the corporate world
with their unmatched humour.
[Role & Responsibility]
Editor
Worked on the timing of jokes, cuts, pauses and reactions to make sure the setup and punchline worked naturally.
Comedy Editing & Pacing
Synced and worked with multiple camera angles to build the performances, choosing the right shots and angles based on the comedian's delivery and the moment.
Multi-Camera Editing
Removed NGs, retakes, flubs, missed lines, long pauses and dead moments while keeping the performance smooth and natural.
Seamless NG (Not Good) Removal
Added and adjusted audience laughs, reactions, and performer moments where needed to maintain the energy and flow of the live performance.
VFX & Stage Cleanup
Rotoscoped shots where required and tracked the show logo into moving shots, making sure the branding stayed properly placed throughout the shot.
Logo Rotoscoping & Tracking
Created numerous cutdowns for reels and social media, selecting strong, funny and potentially viral moments from the episodes to help promote the show.
Promotional Cutdowns & Reels
Prepared and exported the required masters according to the delivery specifications and uploaded the final files to the server for delivery to Disney+ Hotstar, now known as JioHotstar.

[Role & Responsibility]
Video Editor & Reality Producer
Collaborated with the team to sift through unstructured, candid event footage and construct coherent narrative episodic arcs across 5 distinct phases (How They Met, Goa Pre-Wedding Shoot, Prep & Family Dynamics, Haldi/Sangeet and The Big Day).
Reality Story Architecture & Video Diary (VD) Integration
Integrated two-sided Video Diaries (VDs) from Viraj’s family (Viraj, Mom, Brother Jairaj, Best Friend Arjun, Nani) and Palak’s family (Palak, Parents, Brother Sahil, Bridesmaids) to provide comedic commentary, emotional context and contrasting viewpoints against the live events.
Weaving Confessionals / Talking Heads
Mastered reality-style match-cutting between what subjects claimed in their VDs versus what actually unfolded on camera (e.g., Viraj’s claim of writing the wedding invites vs. reality; his mother’s dog phobia vs. welcoming Pogo with a lota; wardrobe battles over t-shirts between Viraj and Jairaj).
Comedic Juxtaposition
Ingested and synchronized multi-angle camera setups across chaotic live locations, organizing dedicated audio tracks, ambient and secondary b-roll cutaways.
Multi-Camera Ingest, Sync & Timeline Management
Scanned raw rolls to isolate unscripted, golden micro-moments such as awkward glances, spontaneous improvisations, nervous laughs and authentic family banters that cannot be staged.
Candid Moment Curation
Sculpted reaction shots and comedic pauses to ensure jokes and awkward situations landed naturally without disrupting the emotional sincerity of the couple's 12-year love story.
Micro-Expression & Reaction Cutting
Seamlessly transitioned episode tone from lighthearted, chaotic family disagreements (alcohol debates, casino tables, shoe space) to high-stakes emotional milestones (the first look, emotional parent confessionals and the Vidhaai).
Tone Modulation
Placed acoustic, romantic indie tracks and festive wedding music to elevate emotional beats,
while using sudden music cutoffs and comedic sound effects
to punctuate punchlines and unscripted blunders.
